These family lifestyle sessions make my heart sing. I love to see a family, in their element, just doing life, and pretending like I'm not there snapping away. I especially love these sessions when it involves a dear friend whose friendship has been life giving as we've walked side by side on this motherhood journey. Our babes are just 3 days apart in birthdays and I still remember that week leading up to their births. The conversations were filled with frustrations and longing, and the latest advice as to how to jump start labor. And as they always do, our babies arrived, forever changing and growing us. This family loves beautifully and fully. Thank you for allowing me to see your love for one another Ready family!
It comes fiercely and swiftly, the complete wonder and awe for your new babe. Elizabeth and Adam, so in sync and fluid as they doted on their tiny daughter. Not a single detail was missed, from the wrinkling of her nose to the flakiness of her newborn skin that us mommas and papas are all too familiar with. She's been home for a couple weeks now and they're finding their groove and parenthood looks good on them. Big Brother Bueller still can't hardly contain his excitement that he's not the only "baby" in the family. When given the chance he steals kisses at will. I'm sure they'll be best of buds very soon. All I can say is this, they're in love and sweet Baby Ellie couldn't be more blessed.
I've known this little lady since her tiny newborn days. She is exactly 5 weeks older than my own little man which made attending and photographing her special day all the more nostalgic for me. Turning one has been a big deal in my head and I knew that I would soon be in the same place as her momma! I LOVE these opportunities to step into someone else's family and life in order to give the gift of documenting their special moments. I believe that it is pictures like these, that years down the road, will allow us to step back into that moment and sit with the memories; like sitting with an friend over a cup tea and starting right back where you left off, even though too many years have passed. This sweet little lady was so vibrant and joyful on her special day! She and her momma are a delight to know and I'm honored to call them friends.
