Growing up I always dreamed of having a little sister, goodness I would have been happy with a baby brother too but a sister was what I wanted. Do you remember that old rhyme, "Star light star bright, first star I see tonight. I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish I wish tonight." I said that often in hopes of a little sister. But alas, my parents were perfectly happy with my brother and I, and my dreams of a sister remained just that, a dream. Now I don't want to be the parent that projects my own dreams and ideals onto my children but if I'm honest, I hope so much for these daughters of mine. I hope that beyond their siblinghood they will also find deep friendship and sisterhood. I hope that they will always have one another, be a source of encouragement to each other, and always always come home for the holidays, oh wait that one's for me! Watching the beginnings of their relationship pretty much turns me into a puddle of mush. Hopefully I'll be able to continue to capture mini sister sessions, even if bribing remains necessary! As of late in the photography world, Motherhood sessions have been a beautiful trend and one that I hope sticks around. However, these images of my girls makes me want to market sibling sessions, a session that is all about THEM! A session where kids can be kids, without the added fuss of posing with parents. Anyone want to be my guinea pig in the Denver or Fort Collins area??
